Rockstar is a constructed name based on Juliana Rokster 1388 and Lucas Rockere 1296, both found as a surname in A Dictionary of English Surnames by Reaney & Wilson (sn Rocker) and in the same book, under Starling, it gives Starling dated to 1166 & 1203, and Sterling dated to 1133 & 1230, so this spelling seems plausible.
